Why are people in such a damn hurry to get from point a to point b when driving?

I have seen at least 5 bad accidents in the last month and a half..and then someone almost tried to kill me and 4 other drivers on the way home from work..and i fear it will get much worse when the holidays approach...Other drivers aren't realizing that parents are transporting there kids to and from places.i just want everyone to be careful!

A lot of people are bad planners and don't budget enough time to account for traffic, getting lost, etc. Speed limits are in place to protect lives. Others are simply impatient fools who haven't yet figured out that the gains from speeding well over the limit are marginal at best compared to the increased accident risk they bring into the traffic equation.

And being in a hurry doesn't cause accidents, poor drivers do. And most poor drivers tend to drive slower than surrounding traffic because they are trying to be "careful". All they end up doing is upsetting the natural flow of traffic and cause accidents.

Do us all a favor. Stay out of the left lane. Turn your headlights on 1 hour before sunset and leave them on for 1 hour after sunrise. Also turn them on during any inclement weather and when it's overcast. Use your turn signal religiously. Know where you are going before you leave the house. And concentrate on driving and not on eating, reading or talking on cell phones.

Some people dont leave early enough to get where they are going and dont factor in traffic. Some are just impatient people by nature and it shows in their driving. I agree with you though, people do need to be more careful.
