Where is the best place to put an infant carseat?

Question:
Is it side or middle of the backseat? And how much different in safety is the anchors (LATCH system) from the standard seatbelt strap?

Answers:

Safety Helmet Color?

In the middle of the back seat. Both anchors and seat belt will hold the seat safely in place. Most people find the Latch system easier to use i.e. proper placement and installation of the seat. For more information go to www.nhtsa.gov or contact your local police department most have child passenger safety technicians who can help you install the seat properly.

Why don't people on buses need to wear seat belts?

The best place to put a car seat is in the middle of the back. In the front is not good with the air bags. If you were to get into an auto accident, then it would not make a difference, both would securely hold, but I would do a little site seeking my self to see what available, and what has the highest safety rating on it.

im stuck in the snow.....?

I would say middle back cause in case of an impact from either side the child is not right there at the door and as for the latch if properly attached holds the seat much tighter to the seat so protects the kid even more I used both you can never be safe enough when it comes to the safety of our little angels.
