Can any one teach me stick shift on their car. I will pay per hour. Im looking for alot of training. I live in California, West hollywood. Im looking to learn because i want to buy a more expensive car and i that only way i can buy it is by driving it home and its stick shift so i wouldnt be able to do that unless i learn how to drive. So can anyone teach me, or does any one know where i can go to learn?

1. make sure the car is in neutral
2. hold in the clutch. its the peddle that moves al that way to teh floor. the gas pedel is the long skinny one.
3. start the car
4. HOLD IN THE CLUTCH AND KEEP HOLDING IT IN. while holding in the clutch, move the gear into first. then give it gas until teh tachometer(the thing that tells you the rpm) is around 2000 rpm.
5. slowley start to realease the until the car moves. keep giving the car gas.
6. keep on accelerating until the tachometer read 2500-3500 rpm. the hold in the clutch and keep holding it in and move the gear selctor into 2nd gear. then release the clutch. it doesnt have to be slow but you cant "pop" the clutch (releasing it really fast). so release it smoothly and a medium speed.
7. keep on doing this until you get to your desired speed.
8. when downshifting, hold in the clutch and move down into teh next lower gear (5th to 4th,4th to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd, 2nd to first). make sure you realeas teh clutch in each of these gears. you should start to downshift when the rpm needle is below 2000 rpm's. you do not need to brake unless you want to. the lower gears will slow you donw but you need the brake to come to a complete stop. if you just hit the brake. hold in teh clutch and strating braking as normal until you come to a stop. select the appropiat gear to the speed you are at.
9. while stopped, alway keep teh clutch held in and the gear selector in 1st. when you start to go, just do it exactly liek in step one.
tips: never "pop" the clutch, the car will jolt forward and stall.
What is the concept of a parking meter?
always keep teh car in first gear while parked. it will prevent that car from rolling. and while parked on hills facing downward, keep it in reverse.
