Not really. They should be getting practice to drive sooner. If you raise the age, you are also reducing the experience a person gets in a lifetime. If you raise the driving age to 40, guess what? Of legal drivers, 40-year-olds would have the most accidents.Do you have to be a certain age to drive a gas powered RC Truck?
It should be raised a year. that age is a high risk cattegory for insurance companies and statistics show that young or new drivers cause many many accidents.Any tips on driving in former british colonies (opposite side of road)??
Yes, Because of maturity. I think it should be 18 when you can get a license, unless its special circumstances.For a permit, where you drive with parents i think 15 or 16 is fine. Because a 16 year old can drive a car, doesnt mean they are responsible driving that car, i know there are good ones out there, but there are also alot of idiots who think its a toy, and are putting themselves and other drivers in danger. I think everyone who gets a license should go through the same deal, classes road tests and all. I don't believe it should be raised because if a 16 year old gets a license that gives them 2 years before heading off to college to practice driving so that when there out on there own they wont have another skill to learn on top of college.Do you get fined for smoking whilst driving?
Yes, I believe the age should be raised because the younger persons I have seen drive are too inexperienced to have a license at that age. Plus they don't have enough maturity to get out on the street of the big city today.Do video games cause young motorists to drive dangerously?
I don't think simply raising the age limit will do much good, it just means they have to wait an extra year before they take the test.A better idea would be to add a year to the learners program allowing them to gain even more experience, that or just making the test plain out harder.

I think it should be lowered and the reasoning behind that is simply because it is not age that makes a driver at risk, it is experiance. It makes sense to require more time for supervised experiance. The age limit was put in place originally because of maturity issues, but they never took into account the fact that you are going to be driving something that has the potential of killing someone with the same amount of experiance regardless of what age you start at. dont focus on the age, focus on the time between permit and license.More Questions & Answers ...
