Question:
Say a elderly man is crossing a 4-5 lane highway. The man made the mistake of crossing, but he's there and the driver spots him. The driver is doing 50mph. On a highway, doing around 50mph, should the driver try to stop the car or move away a pass by him. What is the safer way to handle the situation? What do laws and road regulations say? Thank you.
Answers:
Is it safe to leave the car running in the garage if the door is open?
Drive past avoiding hitting him CALL 911 Pedestrians/Hources and bycacles are not aloud on highwaysWhich will give a more accurate speed reading sat nav or car speedo?
dont stop..a 50 car wreck would happen.call the cops on cellDo you know a vehicle on four wheels that is allowed to be driven without having a driving licence?
do not stop it is illegal to stop on freeways unless you break down (mechanical failure) running out of fuel is not enough to get you out of a fine, so if you stop to pick up a stray hitchhiker you are really asking for troubleDon't stop. You can't just stop on the highway. Go around him and call the cops.
definitely stop or blow horn loudly if you are in india.
get on the brakes quick, You don't need to stop. Infact you shouldn;t as you be will become the obstacle instead of the old man.Don't just ease off the gas, use your brakes, so other drivers will see that you are slowing/stopping. Do pull over (don't swerve) to give him room (he may realize his mistake and make a run for it ) and to give the other drivers a view of the problem.
Why did you get in your car accident??
PS Yesterday, a fellow wrote in demanding his rights as a pedestrian (could be him)
