No, because trailers have been known to "break away". or jack knifing. Just not safe. Suspension is not made to ride on. Very harsh. No states I know.

NO! This is not legal in any state that I have either lived in or traveled through. It IS an extraordinarily DANGEROUS practice and therefore prohibited. I could see an exception while being on the campsite moving from one location to another, but to travel any great distance over a speed of 5-10 mph would be like offering a death warrant to the passengers in said camper.. take two cars, get to where you're going safely and have fun when you get there. Or if time and finances allow, purchase a motor home... has all of the amenities of the camper and then some, completely safe and road legal to ride in the back while operating it.
