In what states is it legal to ride in the back of a pick up truck?
Best to play it safe. Congratulations, you don't have a "know it all" attitude.Tell a parent or good friend, ( an adult) that . while you did pass your test, you still don't feel 100% confident in your driving skills. As them if they'd help you practice-driving. (Or who taught you to drive in the first place)
Which is more accurate, the speed on my sat nav or on the car speedometer?
You'd make a police officer smile! If more people thought like you do, there'd be a lot less accidents.
Is it true speed cameras have to be callibrated every day?
It''ll come, Congratulations on showing a LOT of maturity.
Can some one help me with a carfax i don t have any money?
A driving test, despite its name, does not prove you can drive. It simply demonstrates that you have grasped the basics of using a car on the road and have shown an examiner that you know the basics of vehicle use.You will now learn to drive by getting yourself into awkward and often embarrassing situations. Yes other road users will beep at you, swear at you and make unfriendly gestures towards you (including me) but just tell yourself that they were in your position once. Smile sweetly, make a signal to say sorry and get on with your driving. You will get more confidence and you will find manoeuvres become easier to perform as you gain experience.
Hold your nerve, don't be put off, try your best to remember where you went wrong the last time you made a mistake and you will become a worthy road user. Remember though the lessons your instructor gave you regarding overtaking, cornering road position, etc,etc and you will end up a better driver than those who are now giving you hassle. Good Luck
unfortunatly in the uk the driving test only equips you to perform certain tasks. it does not tech you to drive. this you will learn over many more years. as a confidence booster i would suggest taking the pass plus scheme. you will go out with an instructer who will help you with all the other little things like motorways, bay parking etc. by taking this you can qualify for discounts with most leading motor insurers.
good luck and happy motoring
confidence will come with practise as my driving instructor said the only thing for bay parking is to find a very quiet street with a wide ally then reverse into it first so the drivers side is nearest the wall you then know you have plenty of room then try it with the passenger side nearest the wall "borrow" a road cone put it in the ally then reverse in without hitting the cone move it closer to the wall and try again and so on
the cone Willl not damage your car but you wil then find what space you need
hopes this helps good luck
remember practise makes perfect
Speed cameras...right or wrong ?
Hi I just passed too and I've had my car 6 weeks.I passed 1st time with 5 minors so well done.
Here's what I did
I had a driving lesson with my old instructor in my car as I had no confidence
I then took off my p plates
I decided that I'd rather people thought I was ignorant than a new driver.
You have to adopt the same attitude as the other drivers,
' It's your road and everyone else is wrong '
If you make a mistake forget about it,
If you stall your car and you will { even drivers that have been on the road for 30 years stall their cars }
The freedom is immense and changes your world,
I'd also recommend driving with no music in the car for a while so that you get used to your car's engine noises.
Don't expect to be able to do it all in one day,
It's took me a month to get any confidence without stalling.
But it does happen in time.
Last weekend my sister had me driving around London on a busy Saturday !!
Rear ended on monday , head on collision today , what to do ??
Loads of luck and congratulations !!
