Question:
I just got an email of a video of a family who lost their child because the seatbelt failed with the booster seat. I'm looking into buying an Envoy and am wondering how many tethers or seat anchors there are - in other words how many car seats could be anchored into the vehicle in case the seatbelt fails.

Do most of the people clear behind the wheel test in Los Angeles at the 1st attempt? How tough is it?
There should be a set for each seating position behind the front passenger area. You can check this by looking in the owners manual and possibly GM's website. Also, keep in mind that just because a seat belt failed with a booster seat, it may have been an old or previously damaged seat belt. If you buy a new vehicle there shouldn't be any problems using a seat belt with a car seat. Most of them now, have seat belts that will lock in place if you pull the seat belt all of the way out when fastening it through the car seat before tightening it down. You can call your local police or firedepartment to find a certified car seat inspection site to make sure your car seats are in correctly.
