Will they ever have virtual driving tests?
A higher compression ratio engine will require a higher octane gasoline (more expensive) the lower compression engine will be able to run a lower octane gasoline (cheaper). If you run a lower octane gas in a high compression engine you will have problems with spark knock (or detonation) which will over time erode the piston(s) surface and ultimately wear a hole though the pistons(s). For the most part unless you are using the auto in a racing endeavor the lower compression ratios will be cheaper to run and longer lived. How come buses dont need seatbelts??
you can burn a less costly grade of fuel.none
I have a question about towing a car during the daytime.?
You can run lower octane fuel without damaging your engineon a motorcycle it makes it easier to kickstart
You can use cheaper gas, and if you decide to convert this to a blower(supercharged) motor, it works better with low compression.Turbos are great but most people wouldrather get the (other). Almost a little joke there.
