Parking Camper Vans?

Are you allowed to park a 20ft camper van in a street or are there restrictions? Our neighbour has dumped his there and its causing an obstruction as I can't see around it to pull out.

Interesting point, I assume you don't want any hassle from your neighbour by asking him to move i? I would hazarded a guess and say 'obstruction ' would be referring to the actual flow of traffic in the road and if its only your view that's being obstructed and not your access to or from your property, you haven't got much room for complaint!
Esp' if there is no restriction on parking in your road?
I would either give your local police station a ring, or call in and ask, if they think there are some sort of rules on this they will (eventually ) send some one around to check it out, but don't hold your breath!
There is no reason why they should need to mention your name!

Yes. Only if it causes a offence can you complain, IE if blocking the road. Suggest you park a bit way back and give yourself enough room to pull round it.

Depends on the gross weight of it. You can legally park anything under the size of an unladen Luton box van (1500kg unladen weight) on the street with no problems. Anything bigger than that and it would have to be moved at night - providing there are overnight weight restrictions in force. You can see if this is the case by whether there are yellow plates on the lamposts showing a bus and a lorry with times (usually cannot be parked between 8pm and 6am). If its smaller than a huge van there is nothing you can do.
