Car Breakdown Safety Tips?

Your 1990 may have only the manually adjusted belts in the rear. The passenger tightens the belt by hand. This is similar to the system used on airplanes. This is an older type of belt system. Most new cars have automatic locking retractor belts, at least in the outboard positions.
