Question:
I am expecting baby no 4 and I was looking at getting a bigger sedan for myself and the kids (hubby is getting the 7 seater). I was hoping 3 kids could sit at the back and my eldest, who's 8 can sit at the front. I believe children shouldnt sit at the front with a car fitted with an airbag..Can they be removed?

you remove the passenger airbags at your peril if you have an accident you would suffer and your insurance would be void also you say your having another child why risk leaving them without a mother.Idiot driver.Should I have called the police?

well i just bought a new car and i know in mine that if u arent at law weight to sit in the front it automatically shuts off.i think anyone under the weight of 85 it doesnt deploy.my neice sits up their and it shows that it is off when we drive.your children are gonna grow and u will need them one day get the one like i have that goes off and on by the weight of the person. What is a sound, logical reason to wait until the last moment?
Although it might be possible to have the airbag removed, it would leave an enormous gaping hole in the dash. That would severly compound any injury if anyone were to hit it during a collision. Aside from that, it's illegal to remove it anyway. In your situation, whoever is driving with all of the kids needs to be driving the 7 seater. If that means that hubby needs to hand over the 7 seater to you, so be it.
If a Tanker Truck hauls helium gas will it be lighter when full?
Hi Melly. How do i tell my family i got a speeding ticket?

I have had to deal with the same situations myself with seating 5 kids in 1 vehicle. (Minivans can sure come in handy!)
What are you supposed to do if electrical wires fall on your car?
What you want to look for for your situation is a sedan that has a keyed disable switch for the passenger airbag. Most pick-ups have this as they often only have 1 seat. But you can find this option (and sometimes even ask for it) on sedans too. We have a couple of Chevy Impalas as company cars that have this feature.
What is more dangerous a hill, curve or an intersection?(driving test)?
Then when the kids are older or you are driving with adults in the front seat you can re-enable this safety feature at will.
What age group/nationality causes the most auto accidents?
Good luck.
Do front tires wear out faster thn rear tires?
On most new vehicles there are different safety switches to disengage the airbag system. Some have a switch on the dash where you insert the key to the ignition and it will disengage the system. Others there are sensors in the seat itself which sense the weight of the person in the seat and will only activate the system when the passenger weighs over a certain weight. And to remove the airbag from the vehicle may cause the vehicle not to start. Some vehicles will not operate unless the airbags are in working order. This is a very important issue to car makers because sometimes you have to put a child in the front seat and it isn't safe for them with an active airbag system.More Questions & Answers ...
