Busted my window?

hey id like to ask anyone with insurance/ law knowledge about something.
some punks busted my car window and stole my ipod, it was parked on college campus - there were NO signs re: property at drivers risk. they have security (probably asleep at the time).
can i sue for the price of the window and ipod?

No. You can only sue if you can show that it was the college's fault.

why do they put salt on the roads after it snows?

The thief was the culprit, not the college.

Just claim it off your insurance,and don't leave any valuables in you car in future

No - you can only claim on your car insurance. Hope you've learned your lesson though and DON'T leave valuables in your car!
