Yokohama AS430 - Smooth ride vs. Safety in the rain?

Question:
I have Goodyear Ultra LS on my car right now. They are really cushy (which I like) & quiet. However, they don't seem to have the best reviews. With the Yokohamas, I definately felt the bumps in the road more (which I didn't like so much), but they are the highest rated in rainy conditions (which really scare me). What's the best choice? Should I get a tire that feels better on dry roads, or should I sacrifice comfort for safety in wet conditions?

I have a class A CDL and work as a firefighter/paramedic, do I need to take an EVOC course or am I covered?

Safety first.. Comfort only goes so far then it becomes dangerous

What do u call the road lines in the middle of the road that split the road in half?

what i try to do is find a good in between tire, the way tires work is a hard rubber tire will not get good traction on a wet road, but it will on a dry road,,a soft rubber tires grips good on a wet road but not a dry road ,so you sort of have to find a good balance in between some where, i found a good BFgoodrich tire that does both, and it was really priced right also,,as a matter of fact the majority of the good rich tires are good tires,i live on a road that 1 minute of rain, and its like a skating rink,so have learned the hard way on tires.do this, just go and look at some, and check the traction rating on them,,that s a good way to find a good riding and handling tire, good luck i hope this help,s.
