Can a person with a driving permit drive with another passenger besides the licensed driver? (In Illinois)?

Question:
My daughter recently received her driver's permit. I've driven with her a few times and I can't seem to find any information as to whether or not she can drive with another passenger.

Reactions lenses and driving?

For example, if we were to go shopping and if her younger brother (age 9) wants to accompany us, is that legal?

Is it allowed by law to have passengers in a 5th wheel trailer while traveling?

This is perfectly legal in my state (MD)... Most driver instructors place several kids in the car for a training session... rotating them out for their turns at the wheel... so go ahead and let your 9 year old ride in the back if you have confidence in your daughter's driving abilities... just make sure that her younger brother is very quiet and not a distraction to your daughter's ability to operate the car safely !

I believe as long as you or another adult over 18 is present it is ok. I got my drivers license in Illinois when I was younger, and I think those were the rules then. Otherwise call her driver instructor to make sure.

Yes thats legal as long as your in the car with her and the 9 year old, but remember you have to be over age 21, im assuming you are.

yes, her younger brother may attend. But you or her father are the only ones she can drive with as far as a licensed driver. Also you must be in the front passenger seat, Not her younger brother.
