what do you think should be the lagal age for a driver?I say if you are not legally an adult why give a teen a set of keys?they are rude drivers( most of them) the are still very immature and if they went to drivers ed for a few months then they have not learned to drive in all kinds of weather,and many other situations.A person can not legally buy cigarettes until they are 18,and that is to save thier lives a little longer,then why hand them a set of keys to drive what can be a deadly machine if used wrong and they use a auto wrong.these teens drive like they can not be hurt or killed and disrespect the others on the road like they own the road once they pass a test that just about anyone can pass.

That is an excellent view and I completely agree with you. After watching several videos depicting teenage car accidents and hearing more of it on the news I think a law should be made that a person cannot have their permit until they are at least 17 years old and then get there driver's license at 18. As for them being rude drivers I can agree with you on that as well. I am no longer a teenager but I can recall that when I was that I was not the nicest person to be in the car with when people on the road started messing with me. I only think that teenagers should be able to get their license at 16 is if they have attended and completed a drivers education course in which an educated professor has lectured them about the rules of the road, and they have clearly shown that they know how to drive a vehicle when the teacher takes them out for test runs. That is my opinion on teenage drivers and if I was the president of the U.S.A. I would actually make all of this become a law!are lpg powered police cars safe?
In some cases I agree, but then the parents are stuck driving their kids all over the place for a few more years. On the other hand, if they are properly taught how to drive, I've seen a few young teen drivers that drive better than their parents. Course then all the kids are going to do is drive illegally anyways so they might as well have their driver's license, at least their legal then.why are they called driveways when you park in them?
I think teenagers (under the age of 18) should not be allowed to drive until they turn 18. The only exception would be if the parents are in certain circumstances that will not allow for them to drive their kids. I also think more intensive driver's education courses should be offered and for longer periods of time. I believe we would see less senseless, tragic, and immature teenage driving related fatalities or injuries. That's just my two cents.Can studdable winter tires be used in PA?
Well, I am a teen driver, and I am disgusted with some of the driving that my peers do! They think it is 'cool' and 'fun' when really it could kill them and other innocent drivers! I think periodic driving tests could be a possible solution - some teens believe that if they drive well on the test and pass, they can drive like a maniac later. I agree with one of the other posters, I am seriously a better driver than both my parents, who are a bit rusty on their road rules.Personally, I think they should have to wait till their 18 years old to get there driver license. Hell I had too. But it also depends on the kids and the parents. If the teenager is very mature and can handle such responsibility and understand fully the consequences of bad or misguided behavior in an automobile then I reckon it would be fine. But how many teenagers are like this. I think, few. I had to buy my own car to get my driver license and my own insurance, I had responsibility of a job and learning to save money and budgeting. Since I slaved for 2 years (and walked or rode the bus to school and work) and bought it myself, I didnt want to wreck it or get any tickets or accidents because I was paying the insurance (and since I was a new driver at the time, yikes my insurance was high). I have been driving now commercially for 14 years now logging over 140,000 miles a year and to this day (knock on wood) I have not had any accidents or moving violation tickets. As for these parents that spoon fed their children with the fine silver plateware and buy their children the 2007 BMW right off the lot cause they graduated junior high school, these are the ones to watch out for and feel sorry for.

Teenage drivers still live at home and have nothing better to do with their part time job money than spend it on gas, weed and speeding tickets. They all want stereos that cost more than the car, coffee-can mufflers, and three foot tall Erector-set spoilers on the backs of their Civics. With every dollar they spend, a percentage goes to the government. Every ticket they get goes to the state.

Cell phone companies, insurance companies, law firms, car dealerships, aftermarket retailers and fast food places ALL get a cut from millions of teenage wallets. It doesn't matter if they're safe, as long as someone makes money from it.

If the state only gave licenses to teens that actually knew what they were doing (rather than allowing Grand Theft Auto to teach them driving skills), then tens of millions of dollars of revenue would simply disappear! In short, your safety AND theirs pales in comparison to pure, asinine capitalism.
