I am living in UK and want to know if I could bring my wife and 4 kids in normal car. I have a car which has 5 seat belts.
- Can I add one more seat belt in back seat and fit all 4 kids there?
Who gets the seat belt ticket?
- Does UK driving laws allow me to do this?
Do Japanese cars get more easily damaged in accidents than other cars?
- If not, then which 7 seat (MPV) you recommend?

No. It's an offence to travel with more than your given vehicles capacity - i.e. the number of seat belts. Plus you'd be putting your friends/family in danger.
The un-seatbelted person is in danger, and so is anyone hit by them flying around the vehicle in the event of an accident.
I'd get a Ford Galaxy if I needed a 7 seater, though I think Top Gear (a motoring program) has recommended a Vauxhall Zaphira in the past.

With the second response, I would say the Galaxy is the best choice overall. There are large SUV types but they are a bit over the top for a good many of us.What is more dangerous a hill,curve or an intersection?(driving test)?

It is illegal for anyone travelling in a car to be without a seat-belt. The seating capacity of a saloon is 5. The seat-belts match this, you can put in another belt but you wouldn't have a seat for it. It would then be a 5 seater car with 6 belts but still a 5 seater.If you have a blow out while traveling, how should you bring the vehicle to a stop?
As for recommending an MPV, forget Top Gear and all the other motoring programs.

There are various Mitsubishi's that have 7 or more seats, the SpaceWagon is the one I have had for 4 years with NO trouble. Each MOT passed easily, Fuel consumption is average to good (unlike the Zafira which is average).
This is the ONLY MPV that I would recommend.
Good luck finding one and get one soon as its not only against the Law for you to get 6 in a 5 belted car, it also isn't worth the risk!

Quite right to think of a bigger vehicle; we had a Mitsubishi Spacewagon which, while not exciting, did the job admirably & reliably.

Legally, if there is a seat, you can have a person there. At the moment, you only have to ware a seatbelt if there is not one provided, eg if there is 5 seat belts and 6 seats, you can have 6 passengers. This law will be changing very soon though. I would not recomened this and have been part of the campaign to change the law.
