I saw on the television that in Germany there may be speed limits set on the Autobahn. What are the accident rates like with no speed limit compared to the motorway limits in the UK. Are there more or less?

In Germany, lane discipline is so good, the UK looks like India... People happily do 120+ past cars doing 60 and no-one should worry because they all know their place. Lorries are kept to the slow lane on up-hill streches, etc.
In the UK, we have idiots doing 60 in the fast lane with a clear slow and middle lane. I don't know what these people are trying to achieve, but they should have huge neons on the back of their cars saying "D*CK" in bright red...
Also, common sense has a place over there. Only straight areas of motorway have no limit. Slip roads, bends and the like have a limit of 70 or so... We have so much to learn from Germany...
Couldn't tell you about UK, but the autobahn is MUCH safer to drive on than the united states highways
