Question:
Is it true that they check the darkness of your tint before they will give you an emissions test in NY? Or is it something that the cops can bust you for (but usually don't)?? In Colorado, the cops never gave us a hard time, unless people were smartasses or something, then the cops would nit pick on stuff like that. Does any know the specifics??
Answers:
Why aren't school buses required to have seat belts?
In NY, the tint of your windows has nothing to do with your emission testing. The only time you have to worry about tinted windows is actually driving around in NY. Your side windows must have at least 70% light transmittance and your front windshield can only have tint restricted to the top 6" of the windshield.
Why do they call it a sport? The vehicle does all the work?
The only exception to this rule, is if you have a medical note from your doctor indicating that you have to have darker windows because of a medical condition. That lette must be on your person @ the time of the traffic stop or you will get a ticket.
I have a question about using flares?

Can anyone tell me the name of the two seat-er car that was in the movie "The Pink Panther"?
the answer is NO. There arent really tint laws for inspectiosn. But if a cop really wanted to bust chops some cops do have a tint meter they carry and if they think its too dark they will summons you. I know in Nj The only tint law is that there is no tint on drivers or passengers front windo and cant have Mirrored tint.More Questions & Answers ...
