How do you keep your headlights from getting mud on them. I have had to stop on the side of the road and wipe my headlights because fine mud spray builds up and makes night driving scary. Thanks for any tips.

Try applying a fine spray wax and gently rubbing it in until it drys. The wax should allow the mud to slide off the headlights.Not sure if it will work, but I wax my shower walls once a month and I do not get hard water build up.

The lights on trucks are perched a little higher, so that helps. Not tailgating also helps.
I've never tried it on headlights, but there is this chemical that you can coat windshields with to help repel water. It might work on headlights, but I'd check with the manufacturer first, mainly because headlights can produce heat.
What type of truck do you have? Where is the mud coming from? I would guess it is coming off your front tires. Do you have add on parts bug shield , deflector of any kind.
Wax your lights with a glaze, it may keep off the dirt better

pending on the type of headlights and your front end config. there might be a set of light wipers that work just like windshield wipers on a smaller scale.use Rain Ex on your headlights, its the best thing for mud, snow, water any liquid
i use rain-x to keep the glass slick an it works great.
