Turning right on red / changing lanes in an intersection?

Question:
Two separate questions:
1. Turning right on red: you should yield to incoming traffic, right?
2. Changing lanes in an intersection: is it LEGAL?

what has the right of way the guy turning left with green arrow or the guy turning right with red?

Does anybody know where I can find written proof: driving test booklet, online, etc?

Is this a good way to protect my car?

Thanks

Unless there a signage stating "no right on red," you can do so as long as you yield to traffic.

if you say that you are "passing gas", where exactly are you passing it to?

Changing lanes in an i/s...in some states you can and in some states you can't. Rule of thumb, so long as it's clear & 100% safe to do...go for it. But check with your DMV and the rules of the road for your state.

Turning right on red:
