Question:
what do you think?
Answers:
Cyclists should be made to stick to the rules and fined and banned in the same way as car drivers. When they ignore traffic lights (signals) they should gain points on their licence, if they try and ride on the slow (nearside lane) of any road rather than the ostentatiously road signed pavement for animals, people and cyclists. Sorry for the rant, but if one talks about road signs and road regulations then one must ask how severe they have to get to stop cyclists from abusing their rights and also prevent right minded drivers like myself from mowing down every last one of them. Road safety laws can never be too severe unless they effect liberty to speed or allow cyclsts to ignore them.
no they need to get severe!

how do I report misuse of vehicle handicap placard in southern california?
Some speed limits are too low. Most people drive responsibly and safely yet on a motorway (limit 70mph) they (almost) all drive at 80-90 mph.Does n't this tell the authorities something? The 70 limit was devised in the '70s when cars like the Ford Anglia had a top speed of 90 and a stopping distance of many hundreds of yards.Cars have got faster, can stop much sooner but this archaic limit has stayed the same.Tail-gating and phoning while driving is much more dangerous.
It's not speed that kills it's INAPPROPRIATE speed.
When it's wet or icy, fair enough but to fine and endorse someone's licence for doing a safe 80mph on a dry, straight, deserted motorway is wrong.
80 mph on a dry deserted road is safe but illegal
30mph past a school is legal but unsafe.
i don't know what they are like in your country i take it your southern Ireland

if u think ur's is too severe, try the states. not all states have the same penalties for the exact same offenses; what will cost u 3 days in jail for a dwi 1st offense in ohio might not be like that just across the border in any direction.out of any offenses, driving while on the cell phone should be slammed dunked. that dam cell phone has costed alot of peeps their lives from idiots usin em on the road behind the wheel.
Why does my car door shock me every time I open it?
seems the uk has a much tougher road test. in the states, it's so simple, i wouldnt be surprized if a 13 yr old could pass the driving section. states have implemented graduated licensing for teens tho compared to how it used to be 20 yrs ago.
how do i get a product DOT approved?
the offenses that should be dealt with severely: drunk driving, driving while on the cell phone, reckless operation, and driving 20 mph or more over the speed limit.
Who cares about random breath tests? Only those who drink and drive. I have no problem being stopped, breathalysed and having my details checked for tax and insurance at three AM on a Saturday morning. Bring it on, I pay a lot of money to keep my car legal and I want to see those who drive in contravention of the law prosecuted.
