I am a mechanic and I have an Invention (Patent) of mine that can be applied in cars and its about safety. I want to inform car companies just in case any of them is interested. I found lots of email addresses from car companies but I need to find the right department for inventions like that. Any idea?

i hope you truly have a patent number,and paper work so you will have legal rights to you invention. with out legal rights they may see it and just reenvent it and call it their own idea and leave you out of the money circle.

"Not Invented Here" syndrome is what you'll run into. Even if they did the same thing, they'd rather spend $10M to bust your patent than pay you $1M in royalties.
