Fog lights on 24/7?

Why do people drive with their fog lights on, regardless of the weather, or time of day? Aren't they intended for a specific purpose?

I ask the same question, and get many answers from I didn't know they were on, to I'm too lazy to push the button to turn them off (hmm but you managed to turn them on though). I have fog lights on my truck and I have yet to use them (they were part of a package option). I really don't see the point of having them on during the day or at night unless its foggy, and then the fog light lenses should be yellow instead of white, as yellow light doesn't bounce off the fog and back into your eyes like white light does.

they r not fog lights. they are daytime running lights. since some people have color or vision problem,this daytime light help safe lives

Some cars have Daytime Running Lights. They are on once you start the car. They are intended to increase the visibility of a car (I'm sure there's been times that you couldn't see an oncoming car, but if they had lights on, you would have)

Because most people think its cool to have their fog lights on at all times but actually they are stupid because fog lights use alot more current than your regular lights which cause your battery to die faster

They are usually driving lights. I can't figure it out, either. People buy a car, and pay to have these lights added, and they know how to turn them on and off. People buy a car with them factory installed, and all of a sudden they are slobbering neanderthal fools who leave them on all the time. They are illegal to have on in any traffic, they don't meet the same codes as headlights, and are never aimed like headlights are.
