Question:
how does that make you feel ? scared, mad, what ever, ?
Answers:
Are they trying to frighten us.?
I have been tailgated many times, but rarely by a semi driver. The last time I was, I got the plate number, and company name, and raised absolute hell with his employers. It is because there are many people like me that many of the larger companies have stickers along the lines of "if this vehicle is not driven in a courteous and lawful manner please call, and they give a 1-800 number". Tailgaters, no matter what they drive, have no business on the road. There are many reasons for tailgating, but there is no excuse for it.Depends on the situation. If you're in the fast lane doing 70 and the speed limit is 75, get the hell out of the way and you won't be tailgated....by a truck or car. Turn it around....if you're driving a truck and you are being tailgated by a 4 wheeler (happens all the time) how do you feel?
What agencies in New York oversee the local volunteer ambulance services?

it gets a little scary when this happens ,i usually just get off at an exit or get in another lane,,because i know those things cant stop on a dime,,and i think what it if i had to bow up,and stop,,but i agree there are some truck drivers as rude as car drivers,,because this isn't a safe thing to do,i usually figure a way to get out of their way,,and let them go on,,good luck, hope this help,s.Dont you hate it when you are driving and....?
Hold your foot on the accelator pedal and touch your brake pedal. It shouldn't bother anyone, simply move over to next lane and let the 18 wheeler go by. They have a schedule to keep and sometimes have to speed a little to keep it . If there is no lane for you to switch to, simply touch you break peddle, most of the time they will back off. Don't be mad, or scared, just be a courteous driver.
When should i stop driving if at all?
tailgating semi? this is a no brainer. get out of the way. usually, i see this happen going downhill, 'granny' is pokin along in the fast lane instead of the right, and semi is comin up fast. usually, trucks prefer to run a little bit faster on the downhill so they can clear the next hill alot easier...they have alot of weight behind them.Which is more dangerous driving while drunk or while talking on a cell phone?
safest and sanest thing.....move out of the way. there's an old saying: he who has the most lug nuts wins. ur not gonna have a chance against a 35 ton truck.
yes i have and i move over because i know they only make money by gettin down the road not sitting.
How do you protect yourself in the event that you actually hit a deer with your car to avoid injury?
Where I live, the freeways have anywhere from 6 to 12 lanes. That means there are PLENTY of lanes to pass someone. There is NO excuse for tailgating with that many lanes to choose from.Too easy to get a handcap parking tag??
I will NOT be intimidated by these jerks, and REFUSE to be bullied out of their way. I stay in the slow (R/H) lane, and if they are not happy with my speed, PASS!
What would you do if somebody followed your car ?
Gotten use to it since I'm a professional truck driver in a truck governed at 65-69mph. Use the left lane to pass, don't hang out there. If you are in the right hand lane, make sure there are no exits ahead that the driver may be trying to get to & grin & bear it til then. Tap your brakes & gradually slow down just enough for the driver to get the hint & pass you. Utilize the next exit ramp or pull off & then, get back on. Let the driver go. They may have too much on their plate at the time & you are a lot better off letting them go.where is a web site that will tell me what size anchor is correct for a 80 ton barge?
I never drive at 70. If you'll go 75 you won't have truckers on your tail.More Questions & Answers ...
