Do you agree or disagree with these 'black boxes' that record speed, braking, etc, being installed in all new automobiles? The information can be downloaded by law enforcement and insurance agencies, and may help to recreate the seconds just prior to a crash.

i own a repair shop,,and actually some cars have had them now since 04,they just don't tell you about them being there,right now insurance company's are the only ones who ever question things about an accident,,but some of the better cars have them now,,the police just don't have the readers for them yet,,that's coming soon also,but i think by late 07,or early 08 we,ll see them on all cars ,i dont like the idea but there's nothing we can say or do about it,,good luck i hope this help,s.have a good x-mas.I agree with nthe black box, it is in my truck and saved me from a costly ins claim. Automobiles have had data recorders in them for years, this is not some new technology. They have the 5 seconds before the crash in memory. They will tell if you did or did not have your seat belt on among other things.what are some questions that are asked in taking driving licese test?...?

My 2006 Toyota Corolla LE have this "black box" already. I think they called it event recorders. I like them, since people lie about the accident and it really hurts when they win. With this technology even you are dead, incapacitated, they can recreate the accident of what happen. Besides it is required by law now, and the manufacturers do little by little putting these in our cars now.More Questions & Answers ...
