Well think about it, if you were in an ambulance with severe injuries and bruises, the ambulance woruld need all the cars to get out of the way to let you go through. If they didn't then there would be higher chances of you not surviving b4 u even get to the hospital. The same goes for a fire coz the fire truck needs the got to the fire faster to ensure that they save more people and put out the fire quickly

You should pull over and let them pass so they can get to the emergency as fast as possible. If you were hurt you wouldn't want some jackass blocking the ambulance coming to save you, right?

Why are people so aggressive when they drive?

Well, the best answer is--to prevent from hitting or being hit by the police, or fire or ambulance vehicle. And another reason, and a good one, is to prevent from getting a traffic ticket and a HUGE fine for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. And the judges are typically pretty angry at offenders.

Moped Crash.?

You have to move to the side of the road, or get out of the intersection, because these type of emergency vehicles, when proceeding with lights and siren, are travelling very fast to the scene of a crime or accident, or taking injured to the hospital. Travelling fast, they may have to make wide turns (especially the biggest fire trucks, the big hook-and-ladder engines), and if they are police vehicles, they may turn very quickly. You need to give them as much distance and leeway, so that they can see and be seen by vehicles coming from side-streets into their way of travel. Often they are travelling faster than the posted speed limit in emergency situations, and, although they cannot be reckless in their speed, they are still travelling faster than normal traffic, so they are coming up on you in a hurry from behind you.

Who manufactures the manhole covers for the city of Daytona and FL Department of Transportation?

In larger communities it is to give the vehicle room to get down the road. Emergency response people have enough to think about on their way to a situation. You would be surprised at how many people don't even see the emergency vehicle. It is very difficult to drive a truck with up to 3000 gallons of water with the lights going and the siren wailing that is up to sometimes over 40 foot long. These vehicles need the room to get there fast. They do NOT stop very fast and they need to get there. Just put yourself in the position of the victim. You want help there as fast as possible and some one not pulling over can mean precious seconds that can save a life or a building such as your house.
