I drive a truck and have seen many accidents. Although the answers given are correct, the very first thing is to get your vehicle out of the roadway if at all possible. All of that "check for injuries" stuff is great but wont mean diddly when the next driver, not paying attention, slams into your car.If you can't move the car, get away from it, get to the side. How many videos do you need to see of people slamming into other cars that are stopped on the roadway before that sinks in?

There are so many people with cell phones that you really don't need to worry about calling the police. They have already been called 10 times in 1 minute after a crash.
