Question:
I was recently in a bad accident and am in the market for a new car. 4-door. Coupe, sedan, compact or sport. Automatic. Which makes/models have the best crash test ratings? I have been looking at the Mazda3 Sport 4-door, but haven't decided.

Is it safe to put a baby carseat in a Jeep TJ?
I agree, Fords produce the most vehicles (number wise) that acheive high crash test ratings. The 500 won a Best Pick by IIHS.org as well (no surprise there, it's based on a Volvo platform)...ironically that test where the 500 was tested was with the model without side curtain airbags, and it still got a best pick. Of course now those safety items are standard for the 2008 model (which will be renamed Taurus). And overall reliability and initial quality rate as one of the highest in it's segment according to JDPower. How are you supposed to turn off cruise control?
The Fusion also rates quite highly for '07 after a few newly added safety toys, and so far reliability has been better than even the Camry. Forbes magazine just rated it as one of the best value vehicles all around this year. I'm providing a link.
Hope this helps...

I would go with a Ford five hundred, or the Ford Fusion.More Questions & Answers ...
