Memo to the other person: the #1 lane is the left lane. The highway lane numbering convention is left to right: 1, 2, 3, etc. At least in the US.The reason why slowest drivers are in the #1 lane when you are driving home is because they are actually reverse-direction commuters, trying to get into work early for tomorrow.
