Question:
The neighbor boy is constantly crashing his bike into our vehicles and now my car has huge scratches in the driver's door. We spoke to the parents and they told us to bad. We have to prove it and they refuse to pay for the damages. The Grandmother cussed my husband out. We did not see him but the handle bars match the same height and everything of the scratches. This is the second time this has happened in 1 month. I don't feel I should have to foot the bill for just having my car parked. What do I do with this because it is basically a prove it situation even though we know he is the one that did it?
Answers:
Who has the right of way in traffic circles in the United States?
What you know and what you can prove...Not even remotely the same in court.
If it is happening that often, try to get a picture.
Your word against theirs.....
picture worth a thousand words.
What's the weirdest thing you ever saw in a lane of traffic?
Sue their a s s.Is it just me or have buses become jerkier in recent times?
If you know for sure, with out a doubt, then you could technically say you DID see the little b#$%$d do it, ie mmm yea I was walking by the window I saw the little kid richochet off my car,he got up looked around and took off..yatta yattaWell then woldn't this car burn faster in an accident?
It'll be hard to prove even if you do witness it. Is it possible to use a camcorder (hidden) and catch him in the act? The parents sound like deadbeats. Personally, if it were me, I'd steal the kids bike and sell it. You can always place a complaint with your local council. At least then it's on record. Good Luck.set up your camcorder or a surveillance camera (about $30 not to expensive) and catch him doing it then get 3 estamates from body shops pick the highest one and take them to small claims court and make them pay for the repairs
Okay im new to this can someone tell me the legal heights for 4x4 vehicles?
This is a civil matter, but depending on where you live, you might be able to have a police officer come out make a report and go over and speak with the parents and the little boy. Sometimes the very presence of an officer will make people have a completely different attitude. It is worth a try and at least you will have it documented should you decided to take the parents to small claims court. I would also get an estimate on the repair and seriously consider taking them to small claims court. You need to document everything, times, dates, who said what, when and to whom. Write down everytime you see that kid near your property and you might even put up a railing of some type to keep him away from the vehicle. At least try to show the court you are trying to prevent the situation from becoming worse. Good luck and I do wish you the best. How safe is it on a aroplaine?
It's not completely a civil matter. You can report it as a hit and run or vandalism and tell the police what you think happened. Have the police deal with it. Get the paperwork. Take them to small-claims court if you have to, but it would be better to have some concrete evidence.More Questions & Answers ...
