I definetly feel safer in a plane because you are more likely to get killed in a car accident because of careless driving. In a plane you are hundreds of feet above ground and if your not afraid of heights, you probablly think its safer than a car.

I feel safer in a car, but I know that is silly since the percentage of car accidents is huge in comparison to the accidents in a plane.

The car stalled when the wheel was turned all the way to the right. Common?

Statistically you are much safer in a plane, the miles between accidents stats are higher. But in a car I have a feeling I'm in 'control' that I don't have in a plane, so I FEEL safer in a car despite the facts.

I last flew in 1993, from Glasgow, UK, to Orlando, Florida and back. An OK flight both ways but I spent much of the fortnight there feeling sickly worried about the return flight! I put this down to having had a very rocky return flight from Paris to Manchester a number of years previously, where the plane was hitting air pockets every five minutes. I decided after the Paris experience that I didn't want to fly again but the Florida trip was an offer I couldn't refuse - free flights, courtesy of Hoover!

How can seat belts of a car prevent serious neorological damage?

It's a control thing, I think. Since I don't even feel safe in a car unless it's ME that's driving - and my husband feels the same (i.e. him driving!) - so that's a bit of a "Catch 22" syndrome...!

How can I prove that the road humps wrecked my suspension and tyres within a few months on this 30mph road?

And just for good measure - you'll never get me under that Channel Tunnel - not even for a million pounds. I really mean that - we've had some pretty awful financial problems the last couple of years but I know I couldn't stand the claustrophobia, even if it meant never having to worry about money again.

what are the laws regarding an open container for the passenger of a car?

I feel safer in MY car, not just any car. Statistically speaking, mile for mile flying is safer than driving, but that's only if you have a reason to fly. I can't fly to work, so the statistics don't apply to me. If I drove 100,000 miles a year all over the country and chose to fly instead, then maybe the statistics would apply to me. I do not feel safe unless I am driving the car I am in. It is quite likely that if I am injured or killed in a car, it would be because I am a passenger, not a driver.

Why do people drive around with their children out of the car seat?

Neither, because you can die in either. Life is a chance and everyone has that chance. A plane you can crash or even get wrecked through turbulence and a car you can have a smash with another car or it can go out of control and you could be killed that way.
