If you are a licensed driver, then no it will not be suspended, but you will have a nice ticket to pay. You'd better get an Attorney now. In NY 20 mph over the speed limit is considered a six point slammer on your driver's license and its also considered reckless driving. A judge can lift your driving privileges. A good lawyer can beat down the the ticket to a lesser charge. If your a new inexperienced driver a nasty town judge has the authority of lifting your license. like everyone else said, it does depend on where you live. usually it doesn't matter whether its been only 6 months since you had your license, but they will most likely put points on your license, and after a certain amount of points then it will be suspended or even revoked.If your lincense is going to be suspended, the cop should have told you while he had you pulled over. I would call the DMV and find out for sure. But I don't think it will get suspended.
