How can I turn off a passenger side airbag in a 2000 Chrysler Concorde?

Question:
I have 3 children (ages 8,7 & 4) and only 2 rear seat belts with shoulder straps. By law, all booster seats have to be used with shoulder straps, meaning one child has to ride in the front. They make reto-fit kits to install shoulder belts in the back seats, but they aren't available for the center seat. I would like to turn off the airbag to better protect my 8 year old. Any suggestions?

Any good suggestions to keep oneself awake while driving on roads? (especially when one is tired)?

You don't want to mess with airbags. The risk of it shooting in the most unfortunate moment if not done correctly is too high and is not justified by the benefit you get. May be it's time to think of another vehicle?

What are vehicle inspection regulations like in Europe?

You can get an airbag cutoff switch installed. Legally this must be done by a professional. Call a few good shops and ask about it.
Quality is much more important than price!
